Confinement nanny

Hi parents who engaged a confinement nanny, will just like to ask: 1. Did the baby sleep with you or the nanny? 2. Does the nanny wake up to do night feeds, or you pumped beforehand? Just thinking if there are any cons to exposing the baby to bottles so quickly if I want to continue to breastfeed. 3. Feel free to share any challenges you faced! Thanks for the inputs!

1) Mostly with nanny to do night feeds, however if you intend to latch, easier to let baby sleep with you. 2) Also depending on whether you want to latch or bottle feed. For breastmilk, you will have to pump beforehand for nanny to warm up afterwards. The cons of introducing bottle while you intend to latch is that baby may prefer bottle over breast as there is lesser sucking to do. As the bottle teats have a faster flow compared to the breast, hence lesser effort. If you intend to give bottle, give the smallest teat. If you’re giving Avent bottles, do note that the standard size teat is size 1 (originally with the bottles), you will have to purchase size 0 seperately. I only knew about this after a month @.@ hence baby prefers bottle over breast.
