1. Yes, either same room as you and baby or own room. 2. Usually 1month, you can extend if you find them good. (Of course, subject to availability.) 3. Minimum $3.5K. 4. Reviews, cleanliness, attentiveness. You certainly do not want to endanger your baby in the wrong hands. Also, the last thing you need is a stubborn nanny who does the opposite of everything you want. If you’re intending to breastfeed, make sure you don’t let the nanny talk you into formula feeding at night. 5. Go for agencies (popular ones is PEM), at least there is insurance there. Although some freelancers are good (even with reviews or used by your own relatives and friends, also cheaper), if nanny decides to play you out then that’s it. No last minute replacement, no where to find and get back your money.
