Normally how you all celebrate your baby's birthday?

Usually we have a small birthday party for around 10 of his/her closest friends. My kids would choose their 'theme' months ahead and help me select a cake design. I always make their cakes myself from scratch. It is loads of fun and my kids love the outcome. I always have either a tea party or a brunch party. I feel making food for these types of parties are way easier than preparing lunch or dinner. Of course we also make sure there are enough of activities to keep the kids entertained.
