My parents are very conservative, they always ask me to give my baby water after breast feeding. How should i explain to them or should i follow their advice?

I told them polyclinic say cannot and they believed! Actually it depends on how old baby is. If baby is less than 6 months, better to tell them that they're not encouraged to drink water and show them the articles that the mummies have shared. For my case I was worried that baby would reject water in future so I still gave mine about a teaspoon everyday. If baby is 6 months or more then by all means just take their advice and give a little but not more than 2-3oz as it may interfere with their milk intake and cause malnutrition.
