My LO is 8 months old and just starting to crawl around, and get his hands in everything! Is it worth getting the house professionally child proofed and does anyone have any contacts for someone who might be able to do this for me? TIA!

You can DIY mommy. I just bought stuffs I find helpful for childproof-ing. It's good to orient everybody in the house also so that they know what are the uses of each stuff for childproof. Also, saves you money!
