My boy is turning 6 months in 3 days time. Wondering how should I start on solids? Replacing one meal and continue to breastfeed? And what type of solids to introduce?

If you are breastfeeding, it is recommended that babies be fully breastfed till 6 months and supplemented with breastmilk until the age of 1 year at least. You can try mixing a bit of expressed breastmilk into fruit puree. Some fruits you can try are avocado, pears, sweet potato, pumpkin or banana. Do remember to take note of the foods that should be avoided for babies. http://sg.theasianparent.com/baby-food-basics/

You can start on solid by giving puree of apple, avocado or sweet potato. I started my little girl on solid but it does not replace a meal yet. Solid could be given to the baby in between normal feed.

thanks
