My 1-year-old loves alugbati! Are there other ways to cook it aside from adding it to soup?
She isn't a picky eater, is she? You are so lucky! I personally am not fond of eating dishes with alugbati but I've researched and found out that it is a good source of soluble fiber and can also be classified as a cancer-fighting food. I chanced upon this website that suggests making alugbati croquettes. I personally found it interesting and would most probably try making one at home. Based from the site, steps include mixing mashed squash, cup of alugbati leaves and diced white onion in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste. Scoop and form into balls and insert a cube of cheese in each. One by one, roll the balls in flour, egg and bread crumbs then deep fry in medium heat until golden brown (use olive oil for healthier option).
