overreacting?

Hi mummies. what are your thoughts when your mil brings your lo out without you knowing? feeds lo things u didn't approve of (such as foods you've not fed her before)? my husband doesn't rly help me communicate with his mother for me.. I was diagnosed with depression right after I got married and got worst after I gave birth.. now I think I might be getting into depression again.. my husband told my mil to inform us if she's bringing lo out (yes even with this virus gg on she still brings baby out to dabao or visiting relative). my mil wasn't happy she slammed the door. now I feel like crap bc I've no where to go and I'm forced to stay with my in laws..

I think you need to sit down and talk to your MIL. Have a heart to heart talk. Maybe she doesn’t feel appreciated or she thinks she knows it all. Anyway, just thank her for all her hard work, for letting you stay with them, for taking care of your baby. You and your MIL both want the best for your baby and bringing her out (with ongoing COVID) and feeding her new food isn’t the best for your baby.

Are you currently working? Would you consider infant care, then? I would be quite upset too. Dabao-ing food.. maybe if there’s no choice. But visiting other people is a no for me. Who knows where they’ve been and whether they’re sick?
