Hi mummies, which part of threadfin and Salmon for 8 m old baby? Tail? Fillet?

I also use the tail part. If not ask the fishmonger to give fillet. Never trust belly as more bones there. The fishmonger will know when you tell them it is for baby. But for cod fish have to be very careful because the bone is so fine so better to mash before giving to LO.

Get the tail fillet part. If you're buying from the wet market, just tell the fish monger it's for baby. They will know which part to give you. It will be a boneless fillet, but of course you must always make sure to check for bones before feeding your baby :)

I was told the tail has less bones. I used tell the fishmonger at the wet market that it's for baby's consumption and they would debone it for me. But I'd still check during food preparation.
