Private to subsidised

Hi. Any mummies switched from private to subsidise rate? Currently 16 weeks and seeing gynae from Mount A. Thinking of switching to subsidised. Would it make sense to switch towards the end say around 30 weeks? Or anyone has any idea when and how i should switch to subsidised rate?

Super Mum

If you’re switching to save money then switching as early as possible would make sense, especially before your foetal anomaly scan, which is a lot more expensive in private. It’s also better if the hospital you’re delivering has your results on their system rather than from a private centre. You’ll need to get a referral letter from the polyclinic before you can make an appointment at a hospital as a subsidised patient
