There is no need for steamer and blender. Just steam the food in a pot and mash with a masher or fork. The usage is more versatile and you can control the coarseness of the food texture. If you are particular about separating baby product, a steam basket and masher can be purchased. Baby actually outgrow such product quickly. By 13 months we stopped using since her food gradually become coarser. My MIL used a Philips avent one which is good but it’s limited to purée.

Love the one from Avent. Requires no attention to cooking. Esp for mothers that have many things to attend to, you can leave it to cook while you do other chores. Also comes with recipe book that starts from purée to food above 1 year old. Fuss free machine!♥️
