important?
hi mummies. need some opinions/advices.. currently at 4months preggy and alr planning to get some stuffs for baby. may i know between steriliser milk warmer how is it important and how will it rlly benefit me? hahaha am a young mummy and my mother/sisters(in laws) doesnt have all those. should i get those bigger stuffs like playpen, stroller when baby is about 6months or i should just get them now? i am planning to buy about 20pcs of newborn clothes only since baby outgrow fast. thanks in advance!
Hi! You can start buying stuff along the way. The prices are really competitive. So far the items I got feels well made and the materials are soft to touch. Just buy enough clothing based on how frequent you intend to do laundry. I agree they will just grow out of clothes so quickly! Sterilizer is important since babies don't have a lot of antibodies for many things and their system is just more vulnerable. I personally didn't think a UV sterilizer was necessary so I just got a steamer version from Philip Avent, which is just for milk bottles. I was told by my SIL that a warmer is not necessary, she just ended up just using a hot bowl of water to warm the milk and it worked out well and it was faster for her. I also prefer to get items like stroller, proper baby carrier and playpen when my baby is bigger. I know of mummies who do that too! For one, you can put the baby in the carrier and stroller to see if he/she is comfortable in it; or if the carrier is comfortable for you with a real baby in it. I've heard of mums who didn't end up using these items when they bought too early cause their babies just didn't want to be in them anyway.
Read moreI got warmer 2ndhand at $10, and steam steriliser was a hand me down gift. Also got plenty of hand me down clothes thankfully, so didnt really buy much clothes for my boy, which is good also because they outgrow it so fast. As for playpen u can start looking as there may be sales here and there.
You can actually get them now because there are so many online baby sales due to CB. Babyland, Mummys Market and even Mothercare. Besides, no harm getting these stuffs earlier since you will need them anyway.
I got stroller after confinment and survey first what you want the most and convenient. I got a konny right after give birth. You can get playpen from preorder sales it will be cheaper.
