Is it Required to get a Confinement Nanny?

Hello Mummies! Would like to ask your advise if it is necessary to hire a confinement lady? We are only renting a room and our landlady doesn’t allow us to cook at home.. We were thinking whether we can able to handle our baby during newborn time, my hub will be taking leave while I am on my confinement days.. but since we are both FTP we don’t have any idea/clue on taking care babies.. my MIL couldn’t able to come to SG due to tightened measures to cross border.. Can give us some advises? For those who managed to take care their own baby? Thanks in advance!!
