Sore throat and feverish

Hi Mummies, I’m down with a bad sore throat and cough, feeling feverish on and off also. I’m at my 8th week of my pregnancy. Is this normal? I went to the doc last night and since I had flu-like symptoms, I was given 5 days compulsory MC by the doc. I’m afraid my fever will affect the baby. Doc prescribed me with a mild cough mixture so I think that shouldn’t be a problem right? My head is really messing with me right now. Tsk.
