induce or go back

Hi mummies, Im at 38weeks 5days. Went fr appt doct check i am already 4cm dilate. No contraction still. Transferred to normal ward from labour. Doct might option to induce if it doesnt dilate any bigger and no contraction still but i requested to go back instead. Should i stay and let them induce or go back and let the pain come naturally??

I was 3 cm dilated and also didnt feel any contraction. My doctor scheduled me to checkin to the hospital and put me on a drip to help me dilate. They started the procedure around 1am and deliver my baby normally at 3:16pm.

Super Mum

At 4cm, I went home first. Haha.. the contractions came on about 7-8 hours after I went home. But both options are not wrong. You need to make sure you don’t get stuck in traffic when you really need to come back though

The bleeding is actually the show, which is part of the process of going into labour. The thing I didn’t like about going to the labour ward too early was that I’d be strapped to the bed for so long. Haha. That’s why I thought.. just go home first. The benefit for you is that it’s now morning, so you’re hopefully less tired to push later when you reach 10cm (assuming you don’t take too long to get there), compared to if you go into labour in the middle of the night.

I was 1 cm dilated for.my first and they put me on drip.. i chose to stay. 23 hours later i gave birth.. (:

Im considering for induce or go back

You have to consider if you want ur baby to come out naturally when he is ready or you want him to come out asap? In my opinion, if i were to be you, i would choose to be induced as you are already 4cm dilated. Inducing would perhaps cause contractions, and would make you dilate faster. At 4cm, at least i am under supervision in the hospital.
