cranky before sleeping

Hi mummies! If my LO is not milk drunk, hell cry for cuddles or patpat to sleep. Sometimes I put him down and he wakes up again, the cycle repeats.. ? are you experiencing this and are there any tips to help with this issue? TIA!

Yes, it’s normal. How old is your LO? Babies need a lot of comfort and security during the first few months. Carrying them, hugging and a lot of skin to skin contact will help comfort them. They will eventually learn to self-settle when they are older. Babies will need to take naps in the day so that they won’t become over tired. You will also need to have a fixed routine for your baby every night. For example, wipe down, put on pyjamas, feed milk, switch off the lights and put in the cot.
