sleep apnea

Hi mummies i have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and will require removal of my tonsils. Gynae recommend to do the surgery during my 2nd trimester and i must be under general anaesthesia.is general anaesthesia safe for my unborn baby.?anyone had any form of surgery or anaesthesia given to them during their pregnancy before?(just want additional assurance from mummies who have been through such situations)
