how to count baby kicks

Hi mummies, how do I count baby kicks? And is it necessary for baby to kick you hard to be consider as a kick? I do feel movement in my tummy but not sure if it will be consider as a kick.

Initially, movements/kicks may be short bursts at one spot. Later on, you may feel a sliding movement. Isolated movements are each counted as 1 movement. If there are a few movements in succession, all that is counted as 1
