Clothes underneath a swaddle?

Hi mummies and daddies! Just curious to know if it's alright for a newborn (0-3m) to wear a short-sleeved romper while being swaddled (during the day time under fan/natural wind)? Is it too hot for the baby? And also, how would we know if the baby is too hot to cold?

its ok. if they are hot, they will be fussy and cry. if not, all is well. my baby is 3months now ans have been swaddled since birth, even during the days. i just let her have her personal fan.

Yes, it’s alright. Some babies don’t like to be swaddled. Some likes a cool temperature too. Just remember not to overdress your baby with too many layers.

Yes that’s perfectly okay:) if baby’s warm and uncomfortable, baby would perspire/cry. I would keep the fan on and not rely only on natural wind though:)
