Post ultrasound scan — previous czer wound have two open cuts

Hello mommies! I had my detailed ultrasound yesterday at KKH for FTS screening to check for abnormalities etc at 13 weeks. The scan went on for about 15 to 20 minutes in total. I've had 3 previous caesareans done (1st emergency, 2nd and 3rd were elective) and this morning I woke up to my 3-year-old wound with two open dry wounds (no bleeding but its like a 1 cm cut x 2) where the stitch was. It could be due to the pressure exerted on the tummy and scar during the scan yesterday. The scan was uncomfortable and a little on the painful side. I flagged it up to the sonographer though. It was okay over time but didnt expect this to happen. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm not sure if I should be worried or let it pass. 😪

I have not experience this but I think you should not let it pass. Consider to see a doctor for the open wound for medical attention and write to KKH about it.

What’s FTS? I’ve experienced something similar during post surgery recovery and it’s best to consult gynae to heal the wound. Or it may get infected.

I think it meant first trimester scan. mine was okay after 2 days. spoke to gynae a week later and she said its normal as sonographer had to put some pressure to do the detailed scan to ensure accuracy.
