Savings for kids
Hi Mommies, just wondering how much do you put aside monthly for your kids savings/asb? When did you start putting it? Before lahir or after? Sorry if this is insensitive or too personal!
After lahir depending on my financial situation. I aimed to allocate RM100/month, but honestly sometimes I failed though. You know there are times when you need to spend more on other things like car insurance, raya, vacay etc. Yet i still transfer at least RM50 to her account then topup again next months or when i get work bonus. My daughter is almost 2, her saving is now 7k including duit raya. Im surprised as well cos the highest duit raya/duit in a sampul she got was RM250 only. I also managed to buy her 1 dinar goldbar last year (apart from that 7k). As for her daddy, tiada paksaan, if he wants to contribute then he’ll transfer the money. So far he only gave her duit raya but i understand though cos he pays for all expenses. When she gets adik, maybe that RM100 will be divided by 2 cos idk if i can afford RM200/month for 2. But i always hope for more 🥰
