When to use gender and sex?

Hi mommies! Maybe this is helpful.. when to use gender and sex? Usually we are asking for the gender of the baby once it reaches 20 weeks.. However GENDER is used in social sciences which comprises male, female, lesbian, and gay.. SEX on the otherhand is a medical term use to detemine the male and female sex only..so i guess better to ask this way "what's the sex of your baby?" Well that pertains only to male and female.. lesbian and gay is not included as choices..???

dami mo alam! basta sa app natoh ke sex or gender ang itanong girl or boy pa din ang isasagot ng lahat at walang pakealam sa explanation mo kung lesbian gay etc. bakit tingin mo ba pag may magtanong dto ng gender e may sasagot ng bakla o tomboy? dami mo explanation. gamitin mo na lang yan magisa mo .
