Newborn massage

Hi mommies. Just have a question. I took prenatal massage package that comes with bathing and also massaging baby. However I have a concern. The lady massaged my baby roughly especially baby’s tummy area. It breaks my heart of course. But she said it’s fine. She’s an experienced masseuse and has done it all her life even for her own grandkids. I mean, is it REALLY fine for newborn babies to be massaged so roughly?
