Maganda po at kinoconsider niyo parin mag breastfeed. Marami parin benefits nutritionally, intellectually and psychosocially ang breastfeeding. And there is hope. Depende po sa motivation level ninyo po and feeding goals, kaya po mag-relactate muli. Usually it takes about the same time to get a full supply as the time na nagka-gap. 2 weeks? Kaya yan! It takes a lot of time and effort to relactate, so you may want to gather your support system (friends, family..). Babywearing, co-sleeping and co-bathing are said to be factors to success for relactation. At least 8 to 12 times a day magpadede or feed at the breast. You may also consider magexpress preferrably using an automatic double pump as many times as possible daily, express until the 2 minutes after ng last drop of expressed milk. Magpadede lang po kayo on demand without restrictions. Others, they find success sa breast massage or yung iba galactagogues like malunggay. Ang key principle to remember is: supply and demand. The more the baby is at the breast, the more the demand and hence the supply will increase. Also sa isang breastfeeding relationship, it takes two to make it successful: the mother and the baby. If in case ayaw talaga ni baby (usually happens with older babies), you might need to be a little creative depending on your motivation talaga and feeding goals. And note in case, it wont mean you are a failure if baby is not willing. More importantly, practice self-care. You can do it, mommy. ❤️
