can newborn drink water

Eh... Before that I also say no cause alot of people say no. But I went to see my family dr my child got stomach flu and down with fever. He asked me to feed my child more water. My child only 3-4 months. He told me I formula feed can. Unless I breastfeed don't. So I also don't know. 🙄
