Quite a number of my friends shifted the night feeding forward by 30-45 mins to break off the association of night feed with sleeping. They then tried to establish a new bedtime routine such as brushing teeth/gum, changing into PJs, a bedtime story to associate these "actions" with sleep. They will also rock/pat their children to help them sleep. Took a lot of patience but their children eventually got used to the new routine. You can also try to involve your partner (or mother/in-law, i.e., other caregivers) when establishing the new routine so that they can also do it during the times where you are away. Hope this helps!
