It's been over a month that I hav weaned my LO from my breast. But sometimes I feel the urge to offer the breast to her. Is there anyone else who feels the same way?

It happens. When you breastfeed your baby not only baby but you too feel bonded with her, and when you wean her off, you yourself get the feeling as if you are going away from the baby. It is all natural I guess. It is also called post-weaning depression. Quite a few of my friends experienced this too! One of the top reasons is the convenience of being able to use it as a way to comfort their little ones. They often joked about how their babies could "move on" with ease while they are the ones who seemed to want to breastfeed again. Anyway, breastfeeding is a unique bonding experience for the mother and child and I'm pretty sure it's normal to miss or feel the urge to do so again. :)

Reckon this is pretty normal. Breastfeeding is generally a very relaxing sensation. When baby suckles, it stimulates the release of the hormones oxytocin and prolactin in the mother. Oxytocin is responsible for the let-down reflex and the feeling of relaxation. Perhaps you miss that feeling and hence the urge to breastfeed again :) it is after all a beautiful and meaningful experience for all mommies.
