Is Siargao a safe and fun vacation spot for kids under 7 years? Was thinking of taking my extended family there for a surfing retreat but want to make sure it is fun for all ages.

If surfing is purely what you're after, then Baler or La Union may be better choices. :) The waves are smaller and easier for kids to surf on. I heard that, all year round, Siargao has huge waves. Have fun! :)
