Is it ok for me to train my 4-m.o. on how to stand-up or is it too early for that?

My neighbor's son started to stand at early age has developed problem in his legs, i.e. the legs bent and need physiotherapy to correct. As babies' bones are still soft when they are young, please do not let baby stand before they are ready.
