I'm trying to take my niece and her group of friends to a movie for her birthday. Are there any theatres in Manila that have good deals on group rates or birthday discounts for kids?

You can check out the Directors Club in Mall of Asia. I haven't tried it, but my friend held her birthday there and it was super fun! I guess the rate is for about 20 persons with lazy-boy seats. Or you can check out Commerce Center in Alabang, they have small cinema spaces that are good for a small crowd. I'm not sure if they have discounts though.
