I'm quite traditional, especially when it comes to food. With my kids I give them the same lunch my mum used to make me, bread, butter and sugar. But with all these new 'health fads' I'm worried that I might be falling behind in getting my kids to grow up healthy. Any advice for how i can start simple and not scare my kids with the change in their day to day diet?

You can introduce more vegetables and fruits in a fun way to your kid eg food face plate. Also, as a parent we can show as an example to kids to eat healthy food. My kids love vegetables and fruits as I always eat these in front of them. I have friends who doesn't like vege and turn up their kids also hate vegetables. For meals, you can start to cook nutritious soups and vegetables dishes and try to eliminate 1. cans food 2. processed food e.g. ham and hotdog.
