Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) during third trimester

I'm 34wks and having CTS on both hands since the start of my third trimester, but my right hand got the worst of it. I can't clench my hands and every morning when i wake up, it's frozen. I've definitely lost grip power and it gets more intense when i do chores or work that requires fine motor skills. My husband suggested i soak my hands in hot water mixed with Epsom salt to increase blood flow and reduce swelling from fluid retention building up in the joints. I did so but it only helped for a while. I've seen some mummies giving advice to use a cold pack instead, maybe i should try that too. I've spoken to my gynae about it and she said it's unfortunately common during pregnancy, so she told me to wait until i give birth to see if there are any improvements before she refers me to a specialist. I've also been advised to wear a wrist brace to immobilise my hand when sleeping as the natural curling of the hand during sleep is what causes the pain in the morning. To all the mummies experiencing CTS, hang in there! ❤️#firstbaby #1stimemom #pregnancy #carpaltunnelsymdrome #thirdtrimester
