Shooting pain from wrist 16 weeks pregnant

Hi all, I woke up this morning feeling a shooting pain from my wrist to my fingers and up to my arm. The pain got worse throughout the day so I've been searching on Google what kind of pain it is and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome came up. I've tried taking 4 panadol to ease the pain but it doesn't help a bit. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. I've tried not to take medication even when having slight fever however this is really too painful and I can't do anything throughout the day. Anyway, panadol doesn't help it at all too 🥲 May I know how did anyone of u manage it? Should I go to GP or Gynae to confirm the symptom? Anyone of u seen TCM for this? I have TCM tuina package but can we still do tuina? I've stopped going since I got pregnant. Thanks in advance. #pleasehelp #advicepls

I had this too at about 20 weeks, and had it on both hands! My gynae advised me to put on wrist guards, especially at night. I find them to be very effective probably because it restricts movement, kept my wrists warm, and the compression helps as well. Hope this works for you too!

Hi! This might work in a while. It took me about 2 weeks to feel like it was tolerable enough to do my chores comfortably. My gynae said it might be due to the water retention as well, so you might want to mind your salt intake also. Hope that you will feel better soon!

i seen tcm and saw SGH hand specialist postpartum. it was tendonitis that progressed to carpel tunnel. best to seek help at polyclinic or get referral to hand specialist
