If plastic is bad for health, doesn't a plastic pacifier bad then?

For pacifiers, there are only either latex or silicone nipples. You have a choice between latex and silicone nipples. Silicone is sturdier, clean easier, and don't retain odours. Latex nipples are more flexible, which makes it softer. The only down side is that it will wear out much quicker than silicone nipples. They both are different and you can see which one your baby likes best! So, to answer your question, the nipples of a pacifier are not plastic, so you don't have to worry about that :) Also, some pacifiers state that they are BPA free, but BPA(found in plastic) is not contained in both the latex and silicone nipples, so it doesn't really matter.
