If I use this playpen/cot as bb’s (10 months old) co sleeping at night, when do I remove the layer? Advise? Thanks.
As soon as he tries to stand or crawl
When baby can stand on his/her own
I removed it when my baby can stand on his own already. Now it's just the bottom layer
Ooo I have the same one! 🥳
When baby learn when to stand
I remove when baby can sit
In my opinion, it's best to remove once baby is able to sit up, crawl.
Can remove soon when baby starts crawling
Can remove when baby taller
If baby’s a newborn, you can put the mattress on the too layer and let baby sleep beside you. Because it’s easier to put baby down or pick baby up. We took it off when baby got heavier. Haha. Then the mattress can be placed at the bottomRead more
- I do not have the master bedroom. Due to limited space in the bedroom, i am wondering if i can get a co-sleeper or travel cot/playpen instead for my newborn. Any advice?Xinz
- Hi all, thought I'd get advice from mummies on which is better. I know the general pros and cons. What's your experience been? Have you had switch from one to the other? Thanks! I don't plan to co-sleep although the Playpen or cot will be in the same room as me. Thanks!!
Each of my kids has a cot. I didn’t plan to move their bed around so I wanted something that was homey and had a sense of permanence (at least for a couple of years). Kid #1 has a larger convertible bed (130cm x 70cm), and has used the cot for 4 years so far. Loves it, and has slept in her own cot and room since birth. Kid #2 has the standard sized cot (120cm x 60cm) and has used it for 8 months so far. She also sleeps on her own. Eventually when they’re big enough, I’m planning to get them a bunk bed. Heh. But for now, I love the cots, and the kids do too:) They don’t climb out, and they like playing, even reading (for the older one), and of course sleeping in their cots.Jalelah
- Can I let my baby to sleep in playpen at night instead of in baby cot? Which brand of baby playpen to recommend?
Yes. You can for infants. As for brand wise really depends on what you like. I. Personally like Graco and chicco. Their stuff are relatively good and value for money. They have a large variety as well. You can see if you want something with a changing area, night lamp or even toys. And select from there.Anonymous
