I think my baby is teething. He seems to be more cranky lately. Is there anything I can do to help him?

I still remember the time when my baby boy was 5 months old and would cry and bite on to his pillow or any rubber toy. By chance I visited my dentist for my routine check and I casualy mentioned to her about my baby and she quickly said nothing to worry.... the baby is teething and that I should allow him to bite on a frozen carrot. That advice worked really well and my baby seemed to be enjoying both the carrot as well as his playtime. Well, today my boy is 11 years old and he still munches in carrots during snack time.
