my 5 month old is very cranky and just keeps trying to eat his fingers all the time. is this teething? how can i help him.

looks like your baby is getting ready for those pearls and is teething :) babies generally start teething around the age of 4 months, and it causes a lot of pain and discomfort to their gums. this is the reason why your baby always wants to bite his fingers, as doing so helps to massage his gums that are sore. this is also why he is cranky and crying. give him chilled carrot sticks to chew on and gently massage his gums at different times through the day to ease the pain. and hey, all the best for that first tooth :)

I think your baby is teething. It causes a lot of discomfort and irritation. You could massage his gums with glycerine twice a day. Also give him sticks of cold carrot or apple to chew on. If he is using a teether you could put them in the freezer and them give him.
