Favoritism or normal?

I realized the teacher in my child’s cc always asked one girl to help her. The teacher also took photos of her birthday and shared in the school app. Only her birthday. Do they have class rep in childcare? Or is it mere favoritism? As I feel every child should be given the opportunity to help the teacher.
