GBS/ Strep B positive

I am not sure is this a dangerous thing. Currently 36w3d, told I am positive strep B and that antibiotics will be given once labour starts. Has anyone had this condition? How did the birth went? Anything to be concern about?#1stimemom

I was positive too but nothing to worry about! I gave birth via vaginal delivery and baby was born healthy but because he was born premature at 35w6d, he needed to be administered with antibiotics cos only found out I was positive when I was already in labour due to PPROM. He's a healthy & super active, almost 7 mths old infant!

This is quite common, not to worry:) As long as you are started on antibiotics when you go into labour, everything will be ok!
