I keep getting blocked plugs. Is there any changes to my diet I can make?

Usually blocked plugs occur when you do not express milk regularly. Leaving the milk unexpressed causes the plugs. Try to let your LO latch regularly or pump regularly. It helps. If there are "hard" parts on your breasts if you have not expressed for a long time, putting warm compress helps.

• Increase your fluids. • Take two tablespoons of lecithin daily • Avoid some or all dairy products, sugar, peanuts, chocolate, fats (especially saturated fats), caffeine, antiperspirants, and decaffeinated products. • Increase immune system boosters like vitamins D and C.

I put warm compress and then massage the boobs under warm water when I shower. Get baby to latch as they clear block ducts even better. Check for milk blisters as they may be the cause of your block duct.
