I am a high risk mom to be for the first time. Giving birth at age 40 is taunting and being clueless of what will go on during labor scares me. Can anyone share with me if you had experience giving birth at 40? What are the physical challenges?

Hi I am not 40 but close to there, also in at risk zone. I think high risks would mean higher odds to having special children and also Coz physically we need to push our baby out. Gynae can use suction or vacuum to induce bb if they sense u r exhausted fr the pushing. Last resort will be c sect. I will advise doing more light exercises like swimming, walking and some stretching. These can help you deliver faster. Having said that, you Need not be afraid, given the advance medical technology. I have many friends giving birth after 40 yrs old and they are still going strong. Jia u! Relax and welcome ur bundle of joy!
