i have an 11 mth old and will be due to deliver #2 next mth. i have yet to prepare anything for #2. can mummies with babies 1 year apart share how u prepare for the second one? do i need to get another rocker, cot, more milk bottle storage, etc? wld it be necessary to get a tandem stroller or do u babywear the older one while the newborn gets to sit in the current stroller that u have for #1?

I think you will probably need more bottles. Cot would be whether you intend to co-sleep with the newborn and also depends on what is your current sleeping arrangement with your firstborn. If your firstborn is still using the rocker, you may also need to consider getting another one to avoid your firstborn from getting jealous that his/her things are being taken away. Tandem strollers would be convenient in future if the need arises. But like what Vanessa mentioned, may be good to see how your children like being in the stroller. Guess one important thing to get is a gift from the baby to his/her elder sibling. And also one from the elder one to the newborn. All the best Mummy!!! is your no1 sleeping in baby cot? if yes, you need a new one for no2. Better not put two babies in one cot. if you are going to bottle feed no2 , you need to get new bottle coz teat size will be different from no1. tandem stroller is not necessary to buy now. when buying one you need to consider the places that you are going, will the lift there have space big enough for tandem stroller (some places/shopping lifts is quite small) waiting for lift is very headache. Babywear is good and no1&no2 can take turn to sit/sleep in stroller while the other is being babywear by you.

I got a double stroller, although they are about 21 months apart, it's useful especially when we go out and big one want to sleep, and i train small one to sit and sleep there too. Carry small one whole day tend to be tired easily if your big one also want you. As for rocker is your big one still using? For nap ? If not 1 is enough. Can try to teach her to share too. Is ur big one still sleeping in cot? Perhaps it's time to upgrade to bed? Find a ways that you are more comfortable with.

Are both of them of the same gender? If yes, easier bjt if not, a little more things to do. Can share majority of the things at home whether they are of the same gender or not. As for tandem strollers, would not suggest to get yet. Will have to see baby cos my 2 youngers kids doesn't like and it's a waste of money to get it. Alternatively, you can opt to get it 2nd hand.
