Husband jealous baby clingy to me

Husband is jealous baby is clingy to me but remain unsettled when he carry. Not very supportive of me latching baby in fear that baby will over rely or close to me rather than him. When offer help pacify baby to sleep, he told me is okay he can do the job. When offer him to do housework, he happily say alright... why is he feeling this way??
