How to train my 9 months old to drink from a cup? Or is it too early to train ?

Hi! I tried training my baby as soon as he started eating solids. He was able to drink on his own using a small cup, such as the cover of a feeding bottle. It was easier for him to hold the cup alone. ❤️🤗
