It really depends on how often baby uses his pacifier. The more he suckles on it, the more likely you are to replace it at a faster rate. Also, it is important monitor the pacifiers for wear and tear, even if baby doesn't use them as often. You should replace the pacifier if you notice any tears, holes and discolouration. If the teat of the pacifier remains sticky even after wash, then it's time to throw it away. Check that the base of the pacifier and the teat are stable, because if they are not, the pacifier might break apart in baby's mouth and cause choking.

I would change every 3 months too. Or even earlier if i sees the pacifier is cloudy. If you can, buy like 4 pacifier at a time & baby will use different ones, if that is so won't worn out just one. Can even last longer. Haha! To me my baby's pacifier is like a fashion accessory for him. So have different colours for different outfits.

To add on to Idza, if you find the teat has turned mouldy, it's time for your to change. Normally it is recommended that to change every 3 months like bottle' teat.

I switch every 3 months or when i feel the pacifier is out of shape
