You will need 1000-1300mg of calcium everyday to ensure that both baby and you will get the calcium intake needed. Drinking milk is the best way. The amount of calcium you need each day during pregnancy is equal to about 4 cups of milk. What kind of milk you choose is also important. Whole milk contains saturated fat, which you should limit in your pregnancy diet. However choosing fat-free milk, which supplies equal amounts of calcium but does not contain saturated fat, is the most beneficial.
