How to coax ur 7wks old LO To sleep? he's on FM or EBM.. when I tried to latch, he will play "tug of war" with me, so nursing him to sleep isn't possible.. spending almost an hour after feed to coax him to sleep..

Actually it is not easy to coax baby to sleep if he does not want to. It is either he is not tired or slept too much. The sleeping pattern still have not establish yet. I remember my son @ 7 week old naps very little during the day time. I thought he will sleep well during night time, again I was so wrong. Baby could not sleep due to colic issue, kept on fussing and crying. Most of the time, we will try to set up the same environment to make baby sleep.. eg dim the light, sing a lullaby, massage his back to make him sleep. That will take an hour if lucky enough.

Read moreAs a guide, newborns tend to sleep for 14 to 18 hours a day. Past the newborn stage, a baby will likely be sleeping for 13-15 hours a day. Yawning and rubbing eyes are signs that he is tired. Maybe you can try swaddling, gently rocking, some skin-to-skin contact to see if it helps? Hang in there!!
