Well, ask ur lawyer for advice, in some case can ask for child support, depending on how well off the spouse is. But also must prove he is capable of doing so too. Some of my friends paid a 1 off 5-6 figure lump sum or is paying a monthly maintenance to the ex wife for child support, til the child reaches 21yo. My friends' case, the child is staying with the mother, with limited access to the father, but I'm not sure if it's a shared custody or what.
