Heard good reviews of Natal Essentials and Chili Padi. :) For Natal Essentials, you can refer to their menu here: http://www.natalessentials.com/food-menu/ As stated on their website, their food does not contain any msg, and is not too salty and not very oily. Their portions are quite generous too. As for Chili Padi, here is their menu: http://www.chillipadi.com.sg/confinement/Default.aspx They offer a great selection and interesting "fusion" dishes. You can try ordering trial meals before deciding which catering company to commit to. When it comes to food, best to find one that suits your palate and enjoy the healing process.
You can check out the following: 1. Natal essentials http://www.natalessentials.com 2. Chili padi http://www.chillipadi.com.sg/Confinement/ 3. Richfood group http://www.richfoodsg.com I have a friend who ordered from TMC. She has tried the trial meals from natal, richgood and thomson. Her review as below: 1) richfood tastes like normal mix vegetable rice. 2) natal essential was better then richfood. But every week repeat menu. The trial meal was quite oily with not much vegetables dishes. 3) thomson medical confinement food was not so oily. Menu got more variety. And also more vegetable choice.
There has been more than one account of worms and "foreign objects" being found in thomson medical confinement food. I'd steer clear of them. I ordered my confinement food delivery from Natal Essentials. What I liked about them is that they allowed me to choose the ingredients which I didn't like (offal, frog legs etc) which would be excluded from my menu. The taste was good, dishes were sealed with plastic for hygiene (similar to how bubble tea is packaged) and the portions were generous. The only thing is that their menu is repeated so you'll have the same dish more than once.
Chanced upon this blogger who reviewed the food from New Baby Confinement and Natal Essentials. There are really mouth watering pictures in there as well. http://aromacookery.com/2012/09/10/confinement-food-caterer-trial-meals-natal-essentials-new-baby/ But this blog entry was made in 2012. There might be changes to menu since then.
thomson medical confinement food . I haven’t tried both personally but so far tianwei’s reviews has been saying that their standards have dropped whereas I haven’t seen any negative reviews on Thomson. Would advice you to try the trial meals from both before deciding.
Had the thomson medical confinement food trial, was very impressed with the food served. Quality was great! Only downside is it's expensive. Tian Wei has dropped in standards I've heard from multiple people around me. Tried nouriche personally - not bad too!
I ordered Tian wei and honestly think first day very good after that the taste almost all the same and I couldn't finish because there wasnt much variation.
I had Natal Kitchen - 28days lunch & dinner. Confinement food not too oily and dessert is nice. Fried rice is their signature. really pleased and happy.
It really depends on ur taste coz everyone is different. I took tianwei last aug.. coz they allow more customization..
I had tianwei 2 mths back. Food is not bad, svc is good n i like it tat i can customize (i asked for less sugar)
