I find it is getting harder to get a place which is nearer to my place so I would feel once you know what school you prefer register earlier.

I think 6months - 1 year is a good gauge. But probably will do a kindergarten tour first to get a feel of the place and curriculum

By right it should be 1 yr before enrolment but nowadays its so competitive. Some needs 2 or 3 years! So extreme.

I would say more than 1 year as it gives you more time to research and more options to choose from

I like to have more time to decide which curriculum is more suited for my child

1 year would be best if you 're going to a place with high demand

This gave me time to look for the best kindergarten for my son

A year before enrolment so as not to rush things

Need to buffer time for queueing as well

1 Year in case there’s a waiting list
